Waxing

Waxing is a temporary, cost effective and hygenic method of hair removal that can last between 4-6 weeks depending on the individual's hair re-growth.  In order to wax an area, the hair needs to be between 3mm-5mm long to ensure a successful treatment.

Their advanced formulas are designed to grip the hair rather than the skin, helping to make treatments more comfortable while ensuring effective hair removal. Perron Rigot wax works at a lower temperature, is gentle on the skin and removes even short or coarse hairs efficiently, leaving your skin smooth with minimal irritation.

There are two different types of wax that are used within the salon.  These are used in different ways and on different areas.

Warm wax or Strip wax is used on large areas of the body such as legs, arms, chest and back.

Hot wax or Stripless wax is used on intimate areas of the body as well as the face.  This ensures that the coarser hairs are removed effectively the first time, without the risk of bruising or tearing the skin.  This method makes your intimate wax virtually pain-free.

Before you have your waxing, there are a few things you can do at home that will help to make the treatment a success:

• Moisturize your skin.
• Hair length needs to be a minimum length of 1/4" or 6mm
• Exfoliate the area before your appointment.
• Wear loose comfortable clothing.
• Check the hair growth is long enough.
• Take an Ibuprofen or paracetamol.

Aftercare 24 hours

• ​No saunas or steam rooms
• No deodorants or perfumes
• No spray tans or sun beds
• No swimming
• No make up - facial waxing clients only
• No excercising - gym or running
• No sexual activity - bikini or intimate waxing clients only

• Do wear loose fitting clothing
• Do exfoliate the areas after 1 week
• Do apply moisturiser after 48 hours
